To all who have shared in our journey, we want to say thank you. As we begin this adventure with a blog, we want to start off by sharing our beginnings. What began as a small family business in the summer of 2013 has grown into something truly remarkable, and we know that we would not be here without you.
Picture this: summer of 2013, a family had the dream to make sure that each dancer felt special and inspired. So, Teresa and Joe Peeples, joined by their daughter, Anne-Marie, and her husband, Matt Jones. It was in these humble beginnings that our adventure began. After spending time in the competition world, they wanted to create a company that focused on building up dancers and focused on inspiring others in the dance community. They wanted to create a place where dancers felt special, encouraged, and inspired to continue their growth.
Inspire NDC has always been on a mission to inspire dancers to push themselves to grow and to look around and to recognize the work of other dancers. We want dancers to be inspired by others while also being an inspiration. Dance is an art form that tells stories, and a lot of that comes through by what one is inspired. So from the beginning, we wanted to showcase and tell those stories to be able to further inspire more stories.
Fast forward to today, and here we are having just completed our 10th season! It’s a milestone that warms our hearts and brings back so many memories. It’s been an incredible journey, and we’re more passionate now than ever about what we do.
As we grow, one thing remains unshakeable – our commitment to our humble roots and our goal to inspire others. This grounding in our roots has given us a unique perspective, one that we proudly carry forward. We want to stay grounded and humble, focusing on where we came from and the values that got us here.
But growth doesn’t mean leaving our values behind. In fact, it’s quite the opposite. We’re more dedicated than ever to inspiring, both on and off the stage. Our dream goes beyond dance moves – it’s about nurturing a generation of dancers who don’t just seek applause but strive to be a source of inspiration themselves. We want to light that spark in young dancers’ hearts, igniting their desire to motivate and uplift others through the power of movement.
The road hasn’t always been smooth – we’ve faced challenges and embraced change along the way. But every hurdle has made us stronger, every twist in the path has made us more adaptable. And the thing is – we couldn’t have done it without you. The studios, the dancers, and their families, have all been a part of this incredible journey that has made Inspire National Dance Competition such a success.
